Jane Austen-My all-time favorite author!

Jane Austen is, in my opinion, one of the best authors of all time. I've read and re-read her books many times; I find that one gains new perspectives in books as one's life experiences change. When I was a teenager and first fell in love with Jane Austen's books, I didn't appreciate Mrs. Bennet's overwhelming desire to see her daughters married. Now, as a mom with a daughter who'll be married later this year, I have a new appreciation of Mrs. Bennet; even though social standards are nothing like they were 200 years ago, a mother still has an innate desire to see her daughter well settled.
Jane's characters become so real, and the reader feels like they truly know them. Additionally, her books give us an historical look into the Regency period in England.
Sometimes I think I should have been born 100-200 years earlier..... or maybe I was?!
